We just got back after spending a week with Great Grandma and Grandpa Bourque, Nana, Papa and Uncle Matt in Biddeford, Maine. We made the long drive up on Monday morning, and Grahm suprised us all by being a model passenger. He was handsomely rewarded with a week of boogie boarding, strolls on the beach and plenty of opportunity for digging in the sand. The beaches of Biddeford are pristine, with long stretches of sand sprinkled with beautiful smooth black rocks. The seafood in Maine lived up to its reputation: crab, oysters, clams and steamers. Though our favorite dinner was one we made at home- lobster, straight from a local trap right into our own pot. Grahm seemed to think his sweat suit functioned like a wet suit, as this was his favorite time to take a dip.

Sunny Sunday
Today was one of those perfect summer afternoons... breezy and spontaneous. We dropped by Grandma's house after running some errands and ended up spending the afternoon splashing in the pool, and eating pretzels on the stoop. Aunt Amanda became Grahm's personal chauffeur, pushing him around on his lawn mower while Grandma played life guard. Perfect.

Pedal Pusher
He can barely reach the pedals, but he's already a speed demon. Grahm got this bike from his Nana and Grandpa for his first birthday, but we had been saving it for when he was just a bit bigger. He woke up from his nap yesterday, ran over to its hiding spot (who told him?!) and insisted on taking it out for a spin. He had a blast. Daddy got a good shot of Grahm looking proud of his new wheels, and has more to say here.
Fourth of July
We celebrated the holiday at Grandma's with swimming and corn on the cob. Can you get any more American than that?
