Apple picking annual

We made our annual trip to Stuarts farm upstate. It's a quaint little farm with a pick your own orchard, farm stand and pumpkin patch. We spent the morning sampling the pickins'... Grahm liked macintosh while Momma liked Fuji. Daddy liked all of the above. Grahm filled the bag, plucking easily while perched on Mom's shoulders. That night we made an apple cake from a recipe we found on smittenkitchen.com, and we're happy to report it tasted as good as it smelled.... mmm.
