Rocking around THE christmas tree

Like most NYers, we tend to avoid the tourist traps as often as possible.  But we have a soft spot for Rockefellar center, especially at Christmas.  There's something magical about seeing that tree stand so tall over the ice skating rink.  Even walking through the hustle bustle adds to the effect.  Grahm seems to have inherited our excitement, Aubrey was more impressed by her water bottle.

Aubrey was not impressed

Grahm gave the tree a thumbs up!

B and G, BFF

Santa, 2012

We went out to Old Westbury Gardens to visit Santa, to share our list and to assure him that we'd been very good this year.  Santa got to see first hand what a good brother Grahm is to Aubrey... When Aubrey decided that she did not like Santa, at all, Grahm tried his best to cheer her up.  We decided the best way to cheer her up was with cookies., followed by a walk around the lovely gardens at OWG.

Bright Tradition

We needed a dose of Christmas spirit, so we went out to Dyker Heights to look at the lights.  They know how to spread the Christmas cheer: lots of lights!  Once again Grahm and Aubrey walked the blocks oohing and aahing as each house out did the one before.  When jack frost starting nipping at our noses, we went back home for some hot cocoa.

Christmas with Clifford

This is the first year Mom brought Grahm into Scholastic for the children's holiday party.  He enjoyed a day full of crafts, face painting and magic shows.  The elf magician needed help on stage, and Grahm got right up there helping her juggle.  He continued to get up on stage every time she needed help afterward!  We're pretty sure Santa will be pleased with his efforts!
